Most YouTube strategy is about views. Better thumbnails, better hooks, more uploads. That's useful, but for a business it's only half the job. A channel can grow and the calendar can stay empty.
I work on the other half too. I would say my job as a YouTube strategist is to connect your content to your business: who the video is for, what they should believe after watching, and what they should do next.
What a YouTube strategist actually does
For a business channel, I look at five things, in this order:
- Positioning. One exact client with one exact problem. If this is generic, nothing else works, because even good videos bring the wrong people.
- The content mix. Videos that attract, videos that position you, and proof that converts. Most channels make one type on repeat.
- Packaging. Titles, hooks and thumbnails. The content has to earn attention before it can educate or convert anyone.
- The next step. A clear call to action in every video, pointing to one pre-sell asset and an application. Not “link in bio.”
- The numbers that matter. Not only views and CTR, but link clicks, booked calls and qualified calls per video. I explain how in the metrics article.
Who I work with
Coaches, consultants and agency owners doing $10k to $50k a month, where the founder's expertise is part of the sale. You already have an offer that works. You might already have an audience or some content. What's missing is a system that turns the attention into qualified calls.
You don't need a big channel. A small, specific channel can get in front of buyers more often than a channel ten times its size. I wrote about why in micro niche channels.
Not just strategy on paper
A lot of YouTube consultants hand you a document and leave. My background is in video: editing, content production, creative direction and content strategy. Today I run OmniAmplify, where the strategy and the execution sit in the same place:
- Strategist: positioning, audience, offer and the viewer journey.
- Creative director: ideas, storytelling, editing quality, thumbnails and branding.
- Systems builder: the funnel, the application, automations and the CRM that tracks every lead back to the video it came from.
How it works
We install the Authority Engine™ in your business in 8 weeks: authority positioning, a demand capture system and the conversion infrastructure behind it. The target is 3–7 ready-to-buy sales calls per week. If you don't get there within 8 weeks, you get a full refund.
It starts with an application, then a 45-minute strategy call. It's a working session to see if it fits your business, not a sales call in disguise.
